More and more we are asked to shoot with the RED camera.

Very important when shooting motion control is to synchronize to the camera (shutter), if motion control and camera are not locked then this might result in offsets between the different passes.

We are able to synchronize to standard video sync and HD Tri-level sync signals. When shooting with the RED at standard video speeds and also at  30 or 50 FPS we can use this Tri-level sync for a perfect sync.

The RED however can shoot, like normal film cameras at frame rates up to 120 FPS. Unfortunately the RED does not yet provides a sync pulse per frame in this variable frame rate shooting mode!
